Remembered

How I Want To Be Remembered
When people ask you, "How would you like to be remembered," what do you respond with? I would respond with, "I would like to be remembered as a fun-filled, helpful, kind, brilliant, hard working, and well-behaved student." In my house, being smart, kind, and hard working is a very strongly expected thing. I wouldn't want to be known as the kid who doesn't get their homework done, doesn't like to help, is bossy, and doesn't behave well in school. I want to be known as an outstanding person who doesn't do any of those unintelligent things.

How I Think I Was Remembered
When people ask me, "How do you think you will be remembered, now that sixth grade is almost over?" I think I will be remembered as a helpful, well behaved, laughable, smiley, smart, fun, civil student. I hope that's how I will be remembered anyway! In my opinion, I should be remembered like that because I tried helping and being friendly to everyone. If the teacher needs help with something, I am always willing to help. Also, I want to be a teacher when I'm older so I try to help as much as possible. Everyday I always try to come to school with a smile on my face, even if it's a bad day. For me, school is important. I always get my work done and push myself to have no late assignments. I'm getting pretty decent grades right now and I'm really trying to improve them even more. I also think that I have changed throughout the year. In the beginning of the year, I was a quieter and a not so fun, out going person. Now I feel like I'm more talkative and like to be more involved. Besides that, I've made way more friends and became closer to people. I hope I am a person that my teacher would like to have a replica of. I'm happy how this year has turned out, so far. This year has been significant. I hope next year will be as great!

Any Small Goodness

Arturo is a Spanish kid that plays basketball. His favorite basketball team is the Lakers. He gets an assistant coach "the tree" and ends up really liking him. "The tree" helps out the team and makes them win more games; then they had in the past. Arturo's family includes: him, his grandma, a cat, mom, dad, and his brother (Luis).

The people that live in Arturo's neighborhood are basketball fanatics. If you are a fanatic, it means you love something a lot and really show it. Everyone that lives in his neighborhood speaks mostly Spanish.

Arturo's culture is Mexican. Arturo and his family speak Spanish, but a little English. They eat Mexican food, such as chili peppers, chiles rellenos, and some other things. Chili peppers are supremely hot! I would never eat chili peppers, the only thing I eat that is Mexican is tacos; tacos are excelente.

If I had to live in a Mexican culture, I think I wouldn't like it. I don't really like spicy, piping hot, food. Would you like to live in a Mexican culture?

Some Spanish words:
chicharron: crackling
chiles rellenos: stuffed peppers
excelente: excellent
muchisimo: a lot

Letter From Florida

                                                                                                                         January 17, 2014

     Dear Family,

I have finally arrived in Florida! I haven't gone anywhere yet, but I'm planning on it. I'm going to tell you what I plan on doing during my vacation.

First, I want to go to Waltz Disney World. I want to go there because it seems like a lot of enjoyment. I have heard from other people that some of the rides there are extremely wicked. I just hope the lines aren't very long. Having to wait in line would probably be the worst part of my vacation. I would like to at least go on most of the rides that are there.

Besides going to Waltz Disney World, I would like to go to an aquarium. I've always wanted to go to an aquarium. When I go to the aquarium, I would like to see turtles, dolphins, whales, fish, octopus, squids, eels, and many other things. Out of all those things, I would like to see the dolphins the most! It would be so cool to watch the dolphins do their tricks and skills. I hope there will be information by every animals shelter so I can learn more about them. I think the aquarium will be extremely fun to visit!

I am also planning on going to the Brevard Zoo. When I'm there, I want to see all the animals; especially the baby animals. I hope I see new animals too! I might even see animals that I have never even heard of. I want to learn more about the animals when I'm there.

To sum up this vacation, I would like to just sit on the beach and relax. Just the thought of laying on the beach in the soft sand and watching the waves move in and out makes me very exhilarated. I think I'm going to have a blast! I can't wait to come home and see you all again! Well, I better get to bed; have a big day tomorrow. Talk to you soon!

                                                                                                     Love,
                                                                                                           Allie

My Christmas Vacation

During my Christmas vacation I went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house. When we got to their house, we said hi and talked for a little bit. After that we got to eat; everyone loves this part. We ate 'til we couldn't eat anymore. After that the grown ups washed dishes while everyone else waited anxiously for present time. After the dishes were washed and dried, we opened presents. I got from my aunt, uncle, and cousins a movie, a scarf, and a gift card to the mall. From my grandparents, I got the movie Bully and some other things, but I can't remember. My other uncle got me something too. He got me a movie, nail polish, and a pair of socks. When that Christmas ended, we were all happy, full, and ready to go to sleep.

The next day I had Christmas at my other grandparents' house. Again we ate, washed dishes, and opened presents. From that side, my uncle, aunt, and cousin got me a shirt with a scarf, a Justice gift card, a fuzzy reading chair, and a clothes hamper. My grandparents got me a scarf, make up, and our family a trampoline. That Christmas ended with everyone playing a drawing game. It was really fun!

Then on Christmas night my family and I went to church. After church, we came home and Santa had come. From Santa, I got an Ipod five, a bunch of candy, movies, softballs, a basketball, jeans and earrings. My family and I had a lot of fun that night. I had a really fun Christmas break!
