Bullies Vs Buddies

Can you think of similarities and differences between bullies and buddies? Bullies and buddies are different and the same in many different ways. I'm going to tell you how.

Bullies are brainless people. Bullies make people mad or even sad. Bullies spread rumors and mean things about people that are sometimes not true. Bullies push people around and tell them what to do, force them to do things they don't want to do. Bullies sometimes tell people to do something they don't feel comfortable about doing. Bullies also joke around with people, trying to make them mad or sad about something. It's not like a friendly joking; it's a mean type. I think bullies are people who are trying to make themselves feel better by torturing others. Don't be a bully!

Now, let's talk about buddies! Buddies are people who hang out together; go to each other's houses. Buddies usually get along and don't fight. Buddies have the same interests and things they like to do. Buddies sometimes get infuriated at each other about something, but they get along after apologizing. Buddies also joke around with each other; not in a hurtful way. It is fun to have buddies!

Bullies and buddies can also be the same too. Bullies and buddies sometimes get mad at each other. Bullies and buddies both talk to each other in some ways. Bullies and buddies both joke around in some way. If I had to choose if I wanted to be a bully or someone's buddy, I would choose someone's buddy. What would you choose?

If You Give a Dog a Biscuit

If you give a dog a biscuit, he will devour it in a second. If he devours the treat in a second, then he will thirst for another one. If you give him another treat, he will be your friend. If the dog is your friend, he will want to be by you all the time. If the dog is by you all the time, he will expect you to feed him more dog treats. If you feed him more biscuits, he will get very thirsty. If the dog gets thirsty, you will have to get him something to drink. If you give him something to drink, he will want more to eat. If you give the dog more to eat, he will feel bilious. If he feels bilious, he will lay down. If he lays down, he will feel much better. If he feels better again, he will want another biscuit.

                                                      (Tip: Don't give a dog a biscuit.)

My Morning Routine

What do you do before school every morning? Let me tell you what I do before I go to school every morning.

When I hear my mom holler, "Allie!" I know to get up and go take a shower, right away. So I get up and walk slowly downstairs; I'm usually half sleeping while doing this. When I get to the bathroom, I get into the shower.

After I get out of the shower, I go upstairs and get dressed. Some days I don't care what I wear, if I'm really tired.

Then, I go downstairs again and go back into the bathroom to put in my contacts, do my hair, and brush my teeth. That stuff conventionally takes a while to do. You have to be very stationary when you put contacts in, I have learned from lots of experience.

Following all of that, I get all my stuff ready for school. I make sure I have all my homework, a coat (if needed), and my siblings are ready. Then, I put on my shoes.

Finally, I linger for the bus inside. Then, when I see it coming up the road, my sister, brother, and I will high-tail it outside and get onto the bus.

That's how my morning goes everyday before school. What about yours?

The Game of Basketball

Do you know why basketball is an extraordinary sport to play? If you don't, then I'll tell you why. Basketball is one of my favorite sports! The reason I like basketball so much is because I love running and moving. Basketball is a great sport to help you with running skills, and it helps you become faster. If you play the game of basketball, you have to be willing to do a lot of running. Basketball is a sport that keeps you fit and extremely active too. Basketball makes you have good hand-eye coordination and balance. Basketball is one of the reasons why I can jump so high, it strengthens your legs. If you indubitably work your body and move while playing basketball you can lose tons of weight. Now that you know some marvelous reasons why you should play basketball, do you want to play basketball?

David Robinson

Do you know who David Robinson is? He is a famous basketball player! David Robinson was born on August 6, 1965. Robinson enjoyed playing basketball. He liked to win and play tough. He was a magnificent teammate to have on the court. He averaged 24.3 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.9 blocked shots per game in his rookie season-and won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award. In 1992, he was named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Also in 1995, he was named the Most Valuable Player.

Robinson was also kind, caring, and helpful. He served two years of active duty in the U.S Navy, preparatory to joining the Spurs team in 1989. He helped the Spurs team win 35 more games than the previous season. He teamed with Tim Duncan and led the Spurs to the franchise's first NBA championships. When he retired he ranked among the top 25 players in NBA history, in career points and rebounds, and was also fourth all-time in blocked shots. Robinson was a member of two gold medal-winning U.S men's basketball teams (NBA superstar-filled "Dream Team") that won the 1992 Olympic Games. He won a second gold medal at the 1996 Games in Atlanta too. In 2009, Robinson was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. I would say David Robinson is a phenomenal basketball player. Wouldn't you?

The Creation of Carrots

"Everyone, please take out your health books and turn to page 128," said Mr. Orange.
"Why are we doing health right now, it's supposed to be math time?" asked Billie.
"We are going to learn about fingers today, it's a long lesson," exclaimed Mr. Orange. So everyone, including Billie, took out their health books and turned to page 128, like Mr. Orange had said to do. When they finish the chapter about fingers, Billie's pinkie started to ache.
"That's weird," Billie thought and forgot about the pain in his pinkie. School was finally over after a long day of learning. Billie decided he was going to ask Blake, his best friend, if he could go to his house. Blake told Billie that Billie could come to his house and even stay over night if he wanted to. So Billie went to Blake's house, he planned on staying overnight. As the day progressed and it started to get darker, Billie's pinkie started hurting like crazy! He told Blake that he wanted to go home because he didn't feel good. So Blake's mom took Billie home.
When Billie got inside his house he yelled, "Mom, my pinkie has been hurting all day!"
Billie's mom responded, "Maybe your just exhausted, go to bed and see if it still hurts in the morning, I will bring you to the doctor if it does."
So Billie went upstairs, got in bed, and fell asleep. When he woke up in the morning his pinkie still hurt like crazy, so his mom took him to the doctor. When he arrived at the doctor's office, the doctor asked him what was the matter. He explained to the doctor how his pinkie hurt. So the doctor started inspecting his pinkie.
"It seems to me that you have orangeophobia, the turning orange of your fingers," explained the doctor. "I'm going to have to chop your pinkie off, so the orange keeps from spreading."
Billie didn't know what to think of that, he wanted to get out of this prison. The doctor called for the nurse. Billie decided to park himself there and wait to see what would happen to him. When the nurse arrived she had a pair of scissors, rubber gloves, a needle, and a ton of bandages. Billie decided to get it over with. The nurse put a shot in Billie's arm and he was knocked out cold. Then the nurse cut his pinkie off of his right hand. When Billie woke up his finger was gone and the nurse told him that his pinkie had just invented something new, carrots. From that day on the doctor made sure all his patients with finger problems didn't have an orange, crunchy, solidified, teeth breaking, tasteless, choking, healthy, vegetable growing on them.

The Dog Whisper

"Jennifer get up!" hollered Jennifer's mom. Jennifer jumped out of bed, school again. She ran to her closet, grabbed her favorite shirt and pants, then went downstairs. Her mom was downstairs reading the newspaper.
"Mom, can I go to the woods today after school?" asked Jennifer.
"Sure, why not," answered Jennifer's mom. Jennifer then left to start walking to school. While she was walking to school she noticed a dog by the entrance of the woods. The dog was black in color with a dab of white on its nose. While Jennifer kept looking at it, the dog vanished. She didn't even notice that the dog had left. "Stupid dog," she thought. Jennifer just forgot about the dog and kept on walking. When she finally arrived at school, she couldn't concentrate on anything. All she thought about was the dog. She tried her hardest to think, but she just couldn't get herself to concentrate. As the day proceeded, the last bell rang for school to be dismissed. Jennifer ran out the school doors and straight to the woods, she had to find the dog. As she started walking towards the entrance of the woods, she noticed the dog. It was sitting under a short tree with bright, ripe, green leaves. She looked at the dog; the dog ran away again. "Maybe it thinks I'm going to hurt it," she told herself. She ran home and grabbed some money so she could buy the dog something to eat. She then ran to the general store and bought the dog a rich and juicy bone. She thought, "The dog will love this." When she arrived at the woods again the dog was there waiting for her. Jennifer walked towards the dog with the bone in front of her. The dog slowly took the bone and darted away from Jennifer. Jennifer gave up and started walking home, she thought to herself about all the things she could have done with the dog. Jennifer kept on walking forgetting about everything. When she got home, she looked behind her to see if the dog had decided to follow her home. The dog was walking right behind her. She walked into her house and the dog followed. The dog didn't leave her side. Jennifer thought to herself, "This could be a new beginning." When Jennifer's mom walked into the kitchen to greet Jennifer, she saw the dog.
"Oh my gosh," Jennifer's mom exclaimed, I saw that dog in the newspaper this morning. Jennifer looked puzzled. "We better take the dog to Mrs. Robinson, the owner."
Jennifer decided to give the dog to its real owner. After that day, she was jovial she had done the right thing and helped someone find their dog back.

Little Red Riding Hood

                                                                       NEWSPAPER

What is scarier than seeing a fox in your grandmother's house? Well, earlier in the week this unnatural event happened. Little Red Riding Hood was joyfully walking to go visit her ill grandmother to bring her some juicy fruits and tasty bread. When she was walking to her grandmother's house a fox appeared out of nowhere, as she said in the interview.  The fox asked Little Red where she was going with all the food.  Little Red Riding Hood told the fox that she was going to see her very ill grandmother, her house is up the road and around the corner. The fox then got the idea to follow her, as Red Riding had said. Red Riding kept on walking to her grandmother's house minding her own business. While Little Red was doing that, the fox sprinted through the trees to get to Little Red's grandmother's house before Little Red. When he got there, he kidnapped grandmother and put her in the closet. Then he tied her up with rope and put duct tape over her mouth. Red Riding arrived at her grandmother's house after that and the fox was dressed in grandmother's gown. Little Red knew something wasn't right so she suspiciously started asking her "grandmother" questions. She asked the fox why he had such enormous teeth. Then, the fox said "the better to eat you with, my dear." That's when everything went BIZARRE!  The fox was getting up to devour Little Red. Then, out of nowhere a lumber jack came and hit the fox with an ax. The fox was then knocked out cold! Grandmother was saved, Little Red Riding Hood was rescued, and everything was back to normal!

(More investigation about the foxes ending still to be done.)

The Spectacular Nike Shoes

Nike shoes are seriously the finest shoes in the world! Would you like to know why? Well, let me tell you why. Nike shoes can be all different colors, any color you could possibly think of. You can get flip flops or regular tennis shoes, maybe even a different kind of shoe style too! Nike shoes are extremely comfortable, unlike some other brands. In addition to them being comfortable, you can also run faster than lightening while wearing them. That's downright impressive! Besides running faster than lightening with them, they're not easily worn out. I've had my Nike shoes for two years and they're still in terrific shape. They really do keep your tootsies warm in the winter too. Nike shoes are a fantastic brand of shoes I would say, maybe you should go buy yourself a pair of Nike flip flops or tennis shoes right now! I know I would if I were you!

The Things I Like To Do To Past Time

The things I like to do would be playing basketball and volleyball. Playing sports is one of my main hobbies. Well, let me start off with basketball. For the first part of basketball I did fundamental camps. I started playing actual games in basketball in forth grade, in the fall. The position I play in basketball is called wing. It's called wing because you typically don't shot the ball, but you dribble and handle the ball. I'm crazy about playing that position owning to the fact that I like to run, and I'm not so good at shooting a basketball. We have won a couple games, but not most. I still like basketball though. The other sport I play is volleyball. I started volleyball in fifth grade. I had a choice between club volleyball and Peosta. The difference between club and Peosta is that club volleyball you have to learn how to referee. I didn't want to do that, so I chose Peosta. When you play Peosta all you do is play three volleyball games every Sunday. That only lasted about seven-eight weeks, I didn't like that at all. I loved playing volleyball! I wish that volleyball season lasted way longer. I'm playing volleyball next year though, so that's all right! In my free time from those sports, I like to do crafty art type stuff. I enjoy taking pictures and making scrapbooks. I have scrapbooks that I have made myself, and I have some that my cousins have designed and made for me. Scrap booking is totally fun to do! It just takes a lot of effort, thinking, and patience to do it, but it's totally worth it when you finish. That's basically all the things I like to do. What are the things you like to do to past time?

Allie's Adventure Through Summer

Guess what I did over the summer... Well, first I played softball most of the summer. I played softball until July. I had a game every Monday and Wednesday. As you can see I enjoy playing softball. I have been playing softball since Kindergarten. I was used to using the pitching machine, but now it's more advanced and we have to have a pitcher. The position I play in softball is mostly 1st base and I pitch sometimes. I extremely love playing first base. I don't really like to pitch as much though. My team and I won not all of our games this summer, but that's okay. I really had fun playing softball anyways. In addition to playing softball I went swimming over the summer. I learned how to do a back dive off of the side of the pool, and off the diving board too. I was amazed I didn't do a back flop the first time I tried it. It took a lot of practice, but I learned how to do it in one day. I even started to do a back flip, which was really cool. I was really proud of myself! As well as softball and swimming, over the summer I babysat. I babysat my cousins and my neighbors kids. It was even my first time babysitting little kids with no adults help! The scary part was when the little baby started to cry. I figured it out later that he was tired because he fell asleep in my arms. I really liked babysitting this summer though. It was so much fun to watch and see what the little kids did around you, especially the babies. I think I learned a lot this summer, I would say I had an adventurous and fun-filled summer!

The Amazing Allie

Hello, my name is Allie. I'm in 6th grade and I really enjoy being in 6th grade. The things I absolutely love to do are play sports. The sports I like to play are softball, volleyball and basketball. I also like to hang with my buddies, go swimming and babysit. I really don't like to lose when I play softball, volleyball and basketball. I've found out by playing those sports that it's not all about winning, it's about having fun playing sports. I also like to read. The books I like to read would be the Among the Hidden series. I like those books because I like reading crime and ghost type books, and those books are sure crime and ghost type. I do like other books but, not as much as those. I'm excited about being a blogger because I like typing and talking about things I love to talk about. Well, that's all about me. I hope that tells you a little more about me, Allie.
